J R S College, Jamalpur is well connected to the rest of the country through four different means of transport, i.e. Rail, Road, Water and Air. It is located at about 4 KM north from Jamalpur Railway station on Jamalpur-Munger Road opposite Munger aerodrome, 5 KM from Munger Bus Stand situated on the same Road and 6 KM from steamer base in the river Ganga. Though, the train service is available only up to Jamalpur Railway Station. However, when the new tracks are restored on the east side of the college campus, it will be possible to enter the main gate of the college campus directly by the train. Presently, one can reach the college campus by car or other commercial vehicles easily. Jamalpur and Munger cities are well-connected to Bihar and other parts of India through Patna-Bhagalpur Railway line and National Highway 80.

By Rail : Nearest railway station is Jamalpur and Bhagalpur on Sahibganj Loop (Kiul Junction-Kajra Junction) line on Howrah-Delhi route. It is 8 km from Munger city and well connected with major cities of India with good frequency of express and passenger trains.
By Air : Munger has a small aerodrome with no commercial service and used only for VIP movements. Nearest domestic airport with commercial service is Patna airport around 180 km away. Patna is served by all major airlines. Nearest international airport is Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata.
By Road : Munger is connected with NH-80 and various state highways.
